According to Dr Turton there is almost 2 millionof blogs in Taiwan, but not to many written in english (less than 1 thousand). Dr Turton explained to student of Mass Communication that use of blog is very important for marketing, companies or organization, so for him is really building a community and his website became the center of the blogging community in Taiwan.

An important observation that he noticed is that when he built a website to write about personal topics, he got disappointed about how the media is spreading a wrong impression about Taiwan, so Dr Turton started blogging to change the this image of Taiwan as a personal goals.

Dr Turton's personal goals:
1. Change the way how Taiwan is discussed in the world media
2. Raise Taiwan profile in the world.
3. Foster a Taiwan blog community.
